The past four days have been mid-70's humid, and may I say-WONDERFUL! So, instead of piling the layers on my kiddos I am considering the layers of sunscreen!
I too am concerned about the chemicals in the sunscreen products, but feel the need to keep my children protected from the sun and I refuse to keep them locked inside all summer. I have seen the spray on sunscreen remove the characters off of sippy cups! Yuck!
Of course, the best options are to put light weight long clothing on your babies and to cover their heads with a nice floppy hat which protects ears, eyes, and noses. However, we all know not all toddlers will stand for that. Hats in my house are used as projectiles so, until they keep them glued onto their little heads, I too will be using sunscreen.
